Our learning environments were named by our respected Elders in Dharawal language at our opening ceremony in 2014. Wagul means Blackfish, Bimbala means Cockle, and Djungah means Octopus.

Wagul Room

The Wagul room has 10 infants and toddlers, six weeks to two years old, with three educators, as the ratio is 1:4 for children six weeks to two years.

The routine you have at home will be followed at the service. We believe open and honest communication is vital to enable us to provide your baby with everything that they need for a happy day. We understand it can be difficult to leave your baby in care, however cuddles and emotional support (for mum as well) are very much a part of our day at Cullunghutti.

We provide a caring and nurturing environment, where we observe the babies engaging in play, and documenting their learning in each child’s “my journey”, and on Story Park (online programming website).

Our qualified educators provide a culturally respectful, stimulating, engaging, and developmentally appropriate program for all infants and toddlers.

What to bring

  • Minimum of 5 nappies
  • Bottle(s) – empty, and clearly labelled (We provide cow’s milk. If your baby has formula, please bring it in powder form)
  • Change of clothes for change in weather, or in case we have messy or water play
  • Dummy or comforter

Bimbala Room

The Bimbala room has 15 toddlers aged between two (2) and three and a half (3½) years, with three educators, as the ratio is 1:5 for children two to three years old, and 1:10 for children three to four years old.

Our educators will provide opportunity for, and encourage learning through play, and will build special relationships. Educators will support and help develop interests and help construct opportunities for each child’s own identity, and the understanding of their early world.

Djungah Room

The Djungah Room has 15 pre-schoolers between three and a half (3½) and five (5) years old, with two educators, as the ratio is 1:10 for this age group.

The Djungah room offers a preschool and transition-to-school program – it is important to focus on school readiness all year-round. We can support children and families with the enrolment process.
